Reading Bruce Schneier’s Crypto-Gram today where he points out an Everything2 entry which calculates the DeBruijn sequence required to hack a car with the standard 5-button keyless entry pad, which they believe would take ~20 minutes to key in.

Securing expensive assets with what amounts to a cheap combination lock is a pretty dorky idea.
